As I enter my senior year of college, I think back to all the wonderful possibilities that I had the chance to experience: college athletics, clubs and organizations, as well as lifelong friends I made at during my first three years of college. However, I also get to think about what my future will result in the end of my studies. Where will I work? Where will I live? Do I need a new car? How will I pay my college debt? And that insurance - what types do I need? How all this cost?

Suddenly, my mind begins to calculate all expenses incurred, and even though I am only 21, I can feel emerging gray hair of my head. But I get to thinking, "I'm sure I'm not alone in this situation." Well, I hope I can answer at least one question above!

There are many different types of insurance you may need depending on the type of situation you are when you are past four types of insurance, you should be familiar with are:.

  • homeowners insurance (if you own your house) - protects the insured (you) home with your personal assets (your belongings), and other structures such as a garage . detached or remission Alternatively, if you do not buy your home, you still have an option:
  • Renters Insurance (if you rent your house) - protects all your stuff against fire , theft, or some types of natural disasters such as lightning or tornadoes
  • Auto Insurance - .. cover liability (legal substance), medical payments, and uninsured motorists (someone who does not carry insurance at all)
  • Umbrella - additional coverage that protects you from dangers such as slander and unlawful eviction and coverage of additional responsibility. (Additional liability coverage means that if you cause a car accident and you are sued for your car covers police, a comprehensive policy will help cover the difference).

There are many advantages to the insurance policies mentioned above: peace of mind, protect your assets and income protection - to name a few . The good news is the insurance costs much less than you usually think. Even more good news is that there is someone to guide you through the process of determining what you need: an independent insurance agent. Reach out to an agent to discuss the details of these policies and ask questions about the types of coverage each offer.

I hope I have helped you realize that there are many "actual" expenditures, and insurance should be one of them. Have a plan for when you graduate and do not forget to save some money too. You know, just in case you get hit by a bus and can not go to work and use this new degree brand you've worked so hard. I know I am very excited and delighted to what the future holds for me! I hope you are too!
