electronic proof of auto insurance: Can you go Paperless -

myCentral_Mobile_Video You see the flashing lights in your rear view mirror ?. You think to yourself, "How long I was going I did not want fast was I Oh shoot, I shot?" Next wave of thoughts: pull on the side of the road, dig license purse or wallet, take proof of insurance ... OH NO! You do not put the updated copy in your glove box. Hopefully the agent is sufficient to accept your outdated copy ... or wrong.

At this ever happened to you? Many of us have found themselves in this situation or maybe we completely forgot to put any proof of insurance in our car. The good news is, in this electronic world we live in, many states are now allowing citizens to provide electronic proof of insurance coverage. On 18 March, according to the Property Casualty Insurers (PCI) Association of America website, there are 31 states that allow electronic proof of coverage to traffic stops. Click here for a map of these PCI states.

If your insurance coverage is a company that offers this technology, the days of getting caught without your automatic current identification cards in your glove box are numbered! Not only is it convenient, it can save you the trouble of having to go to court to provide proof of insurance, or even to be mentioned. Our company offers this technology through the myCentral ® Mobile App, and the benefit of the application is that it offers so much more functionality in addition to automotive electronic identity cards. What's not to love about that? Click the link above to see our video and learn more.

Have you been able to use your mobile device to provide proof of insurance? How was your experience?
