Supreme Court Review of reforming health care -

supremecourt The first day of the consideration of the Supreme Court of the reform of health care the court focused on the Anti-Injunction Act and the time of trial. If the Anti-Injunction Act applied to the reform, the Supreme Court would not be allowed to rule on the case before a penalty is imposed on those who do not comply with the individual mandate. This means that if the Anti-Injunction Act applied when the Supreme Court would have to wait until the individual mandate penalty for not buying health insurance was implemented in 2014. That would delay the decision on the reform of health care until 2014.

Many believe that the Supreme Court will not delay the vote on reforming health care because of the anti-Injunction Act and the parties involved in the lawsuit asks the court to rule sooner instead of waiting two years.

The first day of arguments concluded in 0 minutes, and oral arguments can be heard here.
