Companies that provide vehicles for employees may have to deal with an employee driving a company vehicle and lose the use of it throughout the impoundment period; and, perhaps the company responsible for paying the costs of impounding, or worse, the driver has an accident without a valid license
These issues must be addressed in the company policy and include policy such as :.
• Annual vehicle records engine (MVR) checks on staff who drive for the company (if it is their own car or a company car);
• Develop written policies concerning drugs, alcohol, and policies regarding the conduct as employees are liable for fines for vehicles in their custody and control of care;
• All policies of the company must be signed and acknowledged by the employee, attended by management and filed with employee records
