Before that jump-making incredible story happened, it seemed that the jump at Canadian ski fell radar. for aspiring Olympic athletes, it costs thousands to travel, train and compete internationally. with little government funding, ski jumping is usually out of reach for most of Canada. as a company focused on community involvement and active lifestyle, we were inspired by president Ski Jumping Canada, Tom Reid (Aviva) to become involved as sponsors. We followed the tour of Taylor on the podium and we would like to share a little more about her.
Taylor got involved in ski jumping as a young child through a summer camp at Canada Olympic Park after her mother she signed. She continued with the sport because he was the one who really cares. In 08, she started the international competition at the World Championships and the World Junior Championships, just shy of his 13th birthday. In 2013, she set a new record 131.5 meters in Whistler. One of the most difficult challenges a ski jumper may face is the environment. "As athletes, we have to focus our energy on implementing the perfect jump," Taylor said. "But the conditions and the environment are constantly changing." Although recently it has been in the media for his incredible achievements, the road to the podium was not easy. for two years before the Olympics, she struggled to place in the Top 30. in Japan (2013) Taylor was seriously ill, but had to compete for stay in the race for an Olympic spot. Describe the most embarrassing sporting moment.
"Well, I did not have anything really embarrassing happen to me as the ski jump, but there was this time I went skiing with my friends Lake Louise. We decided to hit back for the fresh powder as having been skiing all my life my friends had this idea that I'm good enough to ski, to act like it was no big deal, I'm went, but I took a line over a fall, I took my tip on something hidden in the snow and flew the edge, in which I completely ejected from my skis and was sent tumbling down the face back. once I had stopped, I looked up to see my skis 30 feet above me, and everybody laughs. It was awkward at first, but now I just laugh. "
What is your favorite animal?
polar bears because they are majestic and they are the only other species that can open a bottle of coke.
