But if done correctly and safely, a fried turkey can be a delicious part of your holiday meal.

According to the National Fire Protection Association, fire departments in the United States respond to more than 1,000 fires involving a fryer every year resulting in an average of five dead, 60 injured, 00 houses destroyed and more than $ 15 million in property damage.
