The criticism surrounding Obamacare is nothing new . Since it was signed into law in 2010, the Affordable Care Act has faced its fair share of the game.

The last concern is that next year's contribution rate will increase so that no American will be able to afford health insurance. Not only is this hyperbole, but it can not be true. While health insurance premiums may increase overall in 2017, Americans should not panic. In fact, most would not be affected at all by these supposedly increases.

A recent piece Vox described the changes might look like Obamacare premiums for the coming year. Insurers will ask for higher premiums, because many rate initially set too low to make a decent profit. It is important to remember that increases in health insurance are nothing new; they occurred well before the Affordable Care Act into play, often at higher increases we have seen in recent years.

If premiums rise indeed, there will be adjustments to how tax credits are calculated. Tax credits help most registered market - last year's 85 percent - that they cover. These tax credit adjustments will these people continue to be able to pay their coverage in 2017 and beyond.

As we have seen in the past, premiums have actually decreased in some regions of the country, even when they were predicted to increase. Premium prices also depend on where you live, from which the State to which the city to which the county.

For example, if you lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma last year, you've probably seen a decrease in the average premium of 35.2 percent. People in Portland, Oregon saw an average decline of 22.9 percent. So to generalize that everyone in the United States see the most expensive premiums next year might not be true.

Like much of the news surrounding the Affordable Care Act and the Future of the law itself, the premium increases are difficult to predict. While we await official confirmation regarding premium changes, do not forget the good law has done for millions of Americans.
