This was the third annual Run for L'Arche and the event was the largest to date with over 0 participants in total half marathon, 5 Mile Race and 1K Fun Run Walk.
Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi was present as Run 2013 for the Ark of fi cial Starter Race. The weather was bright when Mayor Nenshi blasted the airhorn to send participants on the Bow River Pathway, but the riders were satisfied with what they saw as the perfect race conditions.
More than 125 volunteers spent the day at Eau Claire Market and along the way by ensuring that all participants had a great experience. Treated subjects functions, including pick-up race packet, the number of water stations, course marshaling and hanging medals around the necks of riders as they fi nished their events. After shopping, participants were treated to a free breakfast of pancakes courtesy of Calgary Stampede Caravan Committee and free 10 minutes of sports therapy sessions Endura ProActive Health and Group Health.
The title sponsor for the 2013 Run The Ark Economical, one of the largest property and casualty insurance companies in Canada. The event is also widely supported by the sponsorship of the insurance industry and the wider community of Calgary.
