Do you use a commercial vehicle in the city of Calgary?

If yes, you should be very familiar with 60M0 regulation.

What 60M0 settlement you may ask?

There is a Calgary law a respective road routes.

is within the city limits of Calgary, there are a myriad of routes specifically designated to help commercial vehicles in their efforts to move throughout the city, in efforts to provide goods and services to various companies. These innumerable routes are mapped for each quadrant of the city, and are known more easily than "truck routes". These designated road routes apply to any commercial truck vehicle exceeds 5450 kg in weight.

as with any regulations / legislation there are some exceptions. these include vehicles owned / leased by the city, by public city services, other utility companies, Canada Post, the movement of one of holiday or mobile homes, or vehicles owned by cable TV companies as well as being used for inspection, maintenance or repair.

routes trucks are usually marked as such and will show beginning and end of the road, the hours in which a truck can be driven on the road and on the size, weight, type, size and other restrictions. However, this is not always the case, nor requirement. It is the responsibility of the owner and or operator of the vehicle to be aware of eligible routes on which they can travel, and for what purposes.

There are also reasons why you may find yourself out of a truck route, which are considered acceptable.

These can include obtaining fuel having repairs carried out, making your way to a housing or to get food (in a commercial), or to make a delivery of cargo. However, these relaxations only apply provided that the driver takes the most accessible direct connection from the nearest road trucks and destination. If the vehicle owner has made prior arrangements to park or store the vehicle out of a truck route, then he / she must also use the most accessible direct connection.

When a vehicle is driven, used, parked or left in contravention of any provision of this Regulation, the vehicle owner is guilty of an offense and liable to the penalty prescribed in these Regulations . Wondering what the amount of the penalty be? When issuing a summons for a violation of Article 2 of the penalty for this offense is five hundred dollars ($ 500.00). The agent may choose to issue a parking tag to be in violation of Article 13, which would amount to $ 100.00
