Tell us a little about yourself.
Luisa My wife and I have a child named Nicolas and of another little boy on the way. I currently live in Cincinnati, Ohio, but I was born in Syracuse, New York, and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. I am an avid sports fan and loves to travel.
Why and when did you decide to earn an MHA degree?
I decided a year ago that I wanted to start making a change of the payer side next to the hospital. I felt that the experience I gained with Humana in care management could be an asset for a hospital system. I also felt that I could help in actually being a voice for the needs of older people who are now immersed in this new form of health care that we do as a nation. I have seven years of frontline experience with this population and the feeling that I understand their needs. A Master of Health Administration will make me a more desirable candidate in this field and give me the knowledge I need to be successful in my career.
Why did you decide to pursue the MHA @ GW program?
I decided on MHA @ GW because of its credibility and reputation. The program has an obvious proximity to the capital, allowing access to policy makers that affect health care. In addition, the faculty GW are some of the leading experts in the field.
I am excited that I am able to be in an online program that gives me even the student and the ease of interaction that I wish for immersions and sessions Classroom direct.

I am very happy that I am able to be in an online program that gives me even the student and the ease of interaction that I want by immersions and classrooms of live sessions. I am very happy that I have another team to root for coming, hopefully tournament time. In all seriousness, I am excited about all aspects of the program and I recommend it to everyone on the fence.
Do you have a favorite module and teacher?
moduleSo far, I enjoyed both, information technology and decision sciences, the most. The reason is because I am very "green" technology for health information, and I think I learned a lot.
