Tell us a little about yourself.

As a former Navy brat, I was blessed with the opportunity to travel and experience different cultures around the world. Originally from Southern California, I used this great nation for over 16 years in the US army, both as a gang member and as an officer. I am the first in my family to earn not only an undergraduate degree, but to excel in medical school by obtaining a doctorate in podiatric medicine. I also obtained a Masters in Public Health External link and a Bachelor of Science in psychology and criminology. As a married man with four boys, I love learning. I am always looking for ways to improve all aspects of my life.

The ability to choose the minds of successful business leaders and health care administrators only played a decisive role. I also love the peer group assignments. program.

What do you hope to accomplish on graduation?

Finally, I would like to bring what I learn with MHA @ GW at VA health care system. My whole life was saturated with military culture, and nothing would be better than continuing to serve our nation and my brothers and sisters in arms. Despite the current chaos, I still believe there is a way to correct the direction of the VA health care system - and for me, education is the first step

What must- I know about you. ?

Being a doctor was not necessarily my first dream career. Some of my favorite television shows inspired my career aspirations - for example, I liked "Baywatch" and dreamed of being on the show, or at least the rescuers on the sunny beaches of California. All this has been broken once I thought I could not swim or water. Devastated that I could not work alongside Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff, I began to explore other options. So I moved to become a doctor after watching the television series Doogie Howser.
